Financial Literacy Camps

NABARD –

Surujmukhi, a dedicated non-profit organization, has been instrumental in promoting financial literacy among the underprivileged communities. Over the years, with the crucial financial support of NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development), Surujmukhi has successfully organized more than 50 awareness camps. These camps have empowered numerous individuals with essential financial knowledge, covering topics such as savings, budgeting, credit management, insurance, and investment options, enabling them to make informed financial decisions and improve their overall financial well-being.

IIFL –

In FY 2018-19, Surujmukhi, in partnership with the IIFL Foundation and Sukalyan Welfare Society, Kolkata, launched a Financial Literacy Awareness Programme. This initiative aimed to empower rural housewives and tea garden workers in the Tingkhong and Joypur development block areas of Dibrugarh district.  Through the program, we conducted 47 awareness programs to equip this targeted population with essential financial literacy skills.
